Praga-Południe - clothes and merch inspired by local Polish history
Praga-Południe is one of Warsaw’s most charming districts, situated on the right bank of the Vistula. Its rich history dates back to the 11th century, and the name ‘Praga’ refers to a settlement founded on burnt-out woodland. The district is known for its picturesque streets, which are home to many architectural treasures, including modernist villas from the 1920s and 1930s, particularly in Saska Kępa.
The green spaces of Praga-Południe attract tourists looking to relax in the fresh air. Skaryszewski Park, regarded as one of the most beautiful parks in Poland, offers not only picturesque paths and a small lake, but also numerous picnic spots. It is also worth visiting the Olszynka Grochowska nature reserve, which is ideal for weekend walks in the countryside.
The district is also home to many cultural events. It’s well worth visiting the local clubs and cultural centres, which offer a wide variety of artistic programmes. Praga-Południe is the perfect place to discover Warsaw from a slightly different perspective, full of atmospheric cafés, restaurants and unique shops.
