Rysy - clothes and merch inspired by local Polish history
Rysy is the highest peak in the High Tatras, rising to an altitude of 2,501 metres above sea level and situated on the Polish-Slovak border. This mountain, with its three summits, attracts tourists with its picturesque panoramic views and the challenges it presents to climbers. The north-western summit, which is the highest point in Poland, reaches an altitude of 2,499 metres, making it part of the prestigious Crown of Europe.
The route to Rysy from the Polish side is well secured with chains, but requires a good level of fitness and preparation. A steep, rocky trail leads from Palenica Białczańska to the summit, climbing 1,504 metres. From Czarny Staw, the summit can be reached in around 3 hours, covering an average gradient of 30 degrees. It is worth bearing in mind that a winter ascent requires appropriate equipment, such as crampons and an ice axe.
The Rysy offer unrivalled views – in good weather, you can see as many as 80 Tatra peaks and beautiful lakes. The summit is a popular tourist destination, and reaching it is not only a physical challenge but also an opportunity to admire extraordinary landscapes that will remain in your memory forever. The border between Poland and Slovakia can be crossed during the summer season, which further enhances the appeal of this place.
