Turbacz - clothes and merch inspired by local Polish history
Turbacz is the highest peak in the Gorce Mountains, reaching an elevation of 1,310 meters above sea level and constituting the central point of the mountain range. Built of Carpathian flysch, it is a popular tourist destination, attracting hiking enthusiasts. A stone obelisk and an iron cross stand at the summit, and nearby, at an elevation of 1,283 meters, is a PTTK mountain hut, which offers accommodation and serves as a junction for hiking trails.
Turbacz offers picturesque views of the Pieniny and Tatra Mountains, making it an attractive place to admire the scenery. Near the shelter is the PTTK Museum of Mountain Culture and Tourism, which showcases the history of the region and mountain tourism. Every year, on the second Sunday in August, the Mountain Festival is held here, attracting tourists and highlanders from nearby towns.
Turbacz is also part of the Main Beskid Trail, and its slopes offer a variety of hiking trails. Thanks to its location and rich history, Turbacz is a perfect destination for both avid hikers and those seeking beautiful mountain scenery.
